Training Chair
A mobile training chair for flexible learning, workshop and discussion environments. Seating, a work surface and personal storage are combined within one lightweight, movable structure.

Structure & Form Development
The Training Chair was partly inspired by the construction of supermarket shopping carts. Their lightweight wire-frame structure, mobility and space-efficient arrangement were translated into a mobile seating concept for learning and workshop environments. Different frame geometries were then explored to integrate seating, a work surface and personal storage into one coherent structure.

Integrated Work Surface
The work surface is integrated into the side frame and transitions between stored and usable positions. It provides a temporary surface for writing and training activities when needed.

Personal Storage
An open wire basket accommodates personal materials or bags. The illustrated states show the relationship between accessible storage and a more compact position.

Flexible Group Use
The caster-based structure allows chairs to be repositioned for different learning, workshop and discussion arrangements.

Compact Nesting
The frame geometry allows multiple chairs to nest closely together, supporting compact storage and quick redistribution within a space.
